Chiropractor Peter Barnes

Meet our Chiropractor Peter Barnes

Our Chiropractor Peter Barnes

Our Chiropractor is Peter Barnes. He has been a chiropractor for over ten years. After working in Yorkshire, he moved to Glasgow in 2012 and took over Deluca Chiropractic from Dan Deluca.

A bit from Peter about himself:

My first degree was in engineering. After I graduated, I worked in construction for a civil engineering company.  I enjoyed the problem solving and the mechanics involved because figuring out how things work has always interested me.

My first visit to a chiropractor was when I had an injury. I was so inspired by my experience of chiropractic, that, as a result, I decided I wanted to change my career and become a chiropractor.

The human body is an awesome construction because it is very intricate and delicate but at the same time it is also robust and strong. My background in engineering has served me well because there is similarity in engineering and in understanding how the human body works and at how it can go wrong.

Chiropractic is a very powerful treatment that has helped many people improve their symptoms and get back to their potential.  I believe that a combination of regular chiropractic treatment, exercise and a healthy diet has kept me in excellent health, for example.

All Chiropractors who work in the UK must be registered with the General Chiropractic Council. You can find my registration details here. As a registered chiropractor, I must complete continued professional development every year. This means that I keep up to date with developments in the profession by attending training courses, conferences and seminars. These are also opportunities for me to enhance and develop my knowledge and skills.
